At 41;50ish i had an epiphany.
I don’t have kids but I was told that teens have to rebel against their parents otherwise the parents will suffocate them and they won’t grow up.
I just finished watching (subtitles) a India movie on Prime called Pakeeza (Sp) about a man from wealthy family who fell in love with a courtesan. One part showed how the family is very connected and bonded and even live together. This would be a primordial instinct for the herd to band together for safety.
I’m seeing a parallel from your story.
I wonder if we need to be pushed to rebel because that’s how it feels to me… the gov is pushing us to choose a completely different lifestyle. A sovereign life or one fettered under the control of gov.
Of course this is discussing the need to become a real adult- which requires a true break from one’s parents as being in control of one’s life and in fact one’s mental state. Since our world that we live in is not about becomming an adult, but staying as needy children to the state all of this key moment of our life is marginalized and in fact totally ignored by our society now.
Growing up I never felt the need to rebel so much as resented the fact that my parents failed to raise me in some aspects and so I made up my mind to raise myself and has truly made all the difference. And though I’m only 21 I feel years ahead of my peers and friends because I don’t allow myself to get drawn into the lower level behaviors so much because I have far better things to do and pursue with my life. Wishing the best life 🙏
Along the same lines, our society lacks any real coming of age for both men and women. You either have to figure out yourself or live a protracted childhood, which never really has any boundaries. There is no pride in becoming a man or woman. I was appalled when I first heard the word “adulting.” It implies “playing at being an adult.” It’s a child’s game, like “playing house.”
Just a quick thought medieval name for menstruation was courses so inter courses would be time to have productive sex.
I am going to look into that because if that has truth to it then the word might actually make some sense. Thanks for sharing that with us.
I recently watched a video that described the human egg being both male and female, but then a choice is made with fertisation and so the gender not chosen is formed in the inner parts of the brain. Fascinating when I heard you say inner femanine or inner masculine I had this peak in my mind, it could be a more literal meaning. I don’t know but its still interesting, thanks Howdie.
Right it probably goes right back to conception…a male part and a female part. One then becomes more dominant for reasons we may not fully understand- but the “non dominant” half does not go away, its still there and still a part of understanding the total us.
I am but a few minutes into this, and yet want to say that I have pondered these things for a long while. I am what is termed a two spirit or walk in my female, and male energies, and actually feel whole as doing such. Yet even in the language dept. in pondering this for a few years, I understand language to be inner course of words, though when one can not find the answer right away it is likened to menstruation in the working of the field per se, as sweating as drops of blood, if I may use that analogy. That being said it can spark a creative idea, whether physical or spiritual. For me the marriage bed is the mind, and can be kept undefiled when the garbage is cast out of it. For instances, a people pleaser is actually a prostitute and to make someone do as I do or think as I think is likened to homosexuality. For me communion or common union, is the likeness with another mind with out persuasion and just happens. Yet when one speaks to another without thinking, it is like premature ejaculation as words are sperm and reproduce after their kind. All of this is likened to a deep psychology of the mind and its working and or influences to an organic computer of which we are. And one thing I noticed is the so called mans world wants to get rid of the female which is known as wisdom, and replace her with a new wife=wifi.. Many things are in symbols and or metaphors, and all have their place, as the mind is the womb which life or death is birthed or aborted etc.
Words are very key to all of this, as English is such a strange language in how it is set up and used. The concept of wifi you present is definately something interesting to ponder. The word has a double meaning for sure, never thought of it that way though till your post
“Legal” marriage in the West, I guess, best place to absorb when these mostly subconscious, grossly misunderstood forces of masculine/feminine come home to rest (dissect).
My marriage was a classic, slow-motion plane crash. On paper the temporary (35-year) union produced a marriage certificate, three children and a divorce “degree”.
But I learned a lot. Many of the angles Howdie discussed I ended up diving deep into to keep going as long as I did (should have ended the relationship WAY sooner). Unfortunately, ex quickly slide away into a cold, soulless “thing” and could bring nothing of substance to enhance and balance these critical forces that did offer promise to salvage this investment of the two of us agreeing to come together.
In order for relationships to be productive and worthwhile, ways to end them should be as easy as hug, (no kiss)––and so long. No way will I every be “legally” married again, although I feel the healthy pull of having an energetic-connected woman as a close friend (extremely hard to find).
But in the online toxic dating scene, almost everybody’s looking to do it all over again in classic stuck-in-a-rut style. Very little not-doing for sure.
Was your ex prescribed psychiatric drugs along the way? They are designed to dull emotions, kill sex drives, kill our spirit and & take away any hope of a normal happy life. (I know this first hand.) ‘Unfortunately, ex quickly slide away into a cold, soulless “thing” and could bring nothing of substance to enhance and balance these critical forces that did offer promise to salvage this investment of the two of us agreeing to come together.’ – our spouses suffer as much as we are and 99.99% of them leave us because of it rather than researching any medications they may be taking that could be causing it. I know this first hand too. No, I’d never marry on paper ever again. All this is a signed contract with the Government to solve upcoming problems. No thank you. I’m a pretty good problem solver on my own. And finding a quality mate today who can use his head for thinking/solving/doing instead of having a mind pre-programmed full of pornography & useless sex doesn’t exist in my world.) Luckily, I’m very content on my own, too.
Sometimes I think every one of us needs a Thoreau type one year away from ALL technology, living without any modern comfort for a year alone in a cabin…coming out of a year of living totally with the seasons and earth I am sure so much of what you call “the messed up mind” will be in fact be healed just from a year of this
I’ve already come to the same conclusion in part that I don’t want the government to have any part in my union with another and my girlfriend agrees that we should the time comes after college to get married lawfully and not legally as most do.
One of the big issues is we all get so little training in this area as teenagers when we really need this foundational grasp. imagine if you and i got to have real proper tribal initiations into being men say when we turned 14. I almost guarantee we would have made very different choices from our lives from that point on, both with our “interactions with the world” and relationships with women

partly forgetfulness and partly my unthinking mind brought me to making my masculine and feminine lists without separating any traits but rather all together and fully a part of each, but now looking back I can see how they are merely parts of the reflection of one another.
I so much appreciate this discussion. I was blown away when I saw the biblical verse, “In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth.” Heaven is masc while the Earth is fem. The vessel of potentiality was motivated by the Spirit that seemingly joins the 2 polarities and makes the proverbial field relevant. I appreciate you all so much!
