In the never ending dance to repurpose 3 letter acronyms, DEW with its current negative connection: Directed Energy Wipeyouout is repurposed from Distant Early Warning a hypothetical line in the snow that we could detect Soviet ICBM launches coming from “over the pole” like Arlo Guthrie during the fake cold war.
There are after all only 17,576 three letter acronyms in the English language.

An interesting book about the future, written from a 1960s perspective. Shockingly wrong about almost everything, predicted not one single challenge we now face. Also eerily accurate about a few things.

I truly belive the system is more evil in north America. Its like the spawning grounds for it.
Its way more pronounced then other regions.
