Many years ago I made a music video set to this Teena Marie song called Deja Vu, but there are many new people here and I really wanted to share this song with everyone again. I am sorry the video is only 5 minutes long, but this took many hours to put together, edit, and to find the right clips. This song “moved me,” even when I first heard it in my 20s… when I was still chasing the illusion of this world. – Matt

Uncle Matt this Teena Marie song is amazing can’t believe I’ve never heard it.
And these old time clips are eye opening, even with very little people always tried to look their best. Shame we have lost that sense of pride.
Well done Sir

I’m aware no one wants to hear this but “the single tear” Native American guy from the old save the planet B.S. Propaganda commercials was seriously just some Italian guy they paid to push the narrative that your are at fault for destroying the planet. (go ahead I’ll accept my award now)

Great work Matt 🙂 I was not familiar with this very lyrically insightful song. Until now!
All those children engaged in manual labour – where did they come from?!

The early 1900’s Russian town and country people, buying and selling at market – what a contrast to the refined ladies and aristocrats of the day.
All that was pre-WW1 and pre-1917 of course!

Teena’s music set to vintage video can not but set off questioning “Pings!” in our community’s minds.

It looks to me that there is historical amnesia and knowledge gaps in effect in our world!

That is weird:”In 2004, while Teena Marie was sleeping in a hotel room, a large picture frame fell and struck her on the head. The blow caused a serious concussion that resulted in momentary seizures for the rest of her life.”

Who remembers being here before? Who recollects what role you’ve played, what life you’ve live before?

Hi Matt, I’m a longtime listener and great appreciator of your work. I thought you’d find this video interesting, a conversation with AI regarding the official timeline of the building of Yankee Stadium: https://youtu.be/Lw8mmV2VTiw?si=OFfraVJJFQV0NKrM

Matt, you should move to Europe. The food is way more healthy and doesn’t make you feel sick or weird. Far less processed ingredients. That’s why Europeans can eat bread yet not be as fat or chronically ill as Americans. Also the people in Europe are more down to earth and normal and natural, whereas Americans are very toxic, self-delusional, arrogant, fake, and a-holish. The a-holish vibe, culture, and personality of Americans has always rubbed me the wrong way and made me feel out of place and awkward and unable to connect with anyone. Hence your mental and physical health, and social connection with others, would all be a lot better in Europe. It’s a lot easier to make friends and talk to strangers in Europe because people aren’t as paranoid or cliquish as in America. And the women in Europe will hang out with you even if you’re not their type. They are cool about that kind of stuff, and open and relaxed about making new friends, whereas in America if you’re not a woman’s type she wants nothing to do with you. And of course, you are surrounded by beautiful, aesthetic, sublime architecture in Europe which fills your soul, unlike the empty soulless US suburbs and strip malls. Are you aware of all this? If you go there for a few months, you will realize what I mean.

The only thing America has going for it is its beautiful nature, landscapes, and national parks. Other than that, it has nothing over other countries. And it’s super expensive now too, and every service establishment hustles you for tips without end, whereas in other countries you don’t have to tip. Overall, America is very unfriendly, unfree, and expensive compared to other countries, so it doesn’t make sense to live in America if you don’t have to. As you know, you never feel free in America, you are just told that you are free. But in other countries you actually FEEL free. Huge difference. Think about it.
