Off course that’s right Matt, a large notnilc opera presentation is the first give away.

The Phantom commanding Christine to sing for him reminds me of the scene in “Don’t Worry Darling” where Jack (Harry Styles character) is forced to dance on stage by his boss Frank (Chris Pines character). It comes across almost as a humiliation ritual, but Jack obviously has to perform without question as Frank holds the power to destroy his world at whim. I liked your reference to the SEVERENCE out-ties … innies being forced to tolerate the slave-like conditions and perform in a world where they hold no real power. The NOTNILC feels like a never-ending humiliation ritual. I feel as if I’m being forced to perform in a reality where I have no power … and I no longer have any desire to even participate in it. I feel severed … from what I don’t know … but I don’t want to be here any more. I’m tired of tap dancing on the NOTNILC stage. I want to hang up my dancing shoes.

What if the dream world is the actual world.
If I have a choice I prefer that one, the one where legions follow me into battle, I can leap a mile at a time, cities pour from my pointed finger, and I stop a locomotive with my hand.
I’ll Skip the one where I throw my back out rearranging deck Chairs.

Smoke PETER STUYVESANT cigarettes and destroy what’s left of the notnilC living rent-free in your head.

Matt, I haven’t watched yet. Phantom was my mother’s favorite. She used to listen to the ALWebber version all the time. I went with my mother and grandmother to see it live at the Palace theater I was probably 11-12 years old. Fond memories.

My thoughts on this verse:
“Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world” ~ entering the dream or illusion.
“leave all your thoughts of the world you knew before” ~ the amnesia to experience life and its lessons to eventually remember who you are.
“let your soul take you where you long to be” ~ returning back to the pleroma.
“Only then can you belong to me” ~ union with Source

In regards to the music part—it’s more than likely literal once you cross over as music is universal. Dr. Newton describes music as enjoyment that souls participate in.

Dear Matt, I just sent you a paltry token of my appreciation just to say “I appreciate you.” I rarely comment but stay tuned in, don’t always agree with you (mostly do), but remain comforted by your voice in this wilderness. Your Christmas Eve episode had me laughing my ass off. I’m not familiar with the Phantom of the Opera story yet but find this concept of Notnilc and Higher Self being interrelated worth pondering… Just want to send much love your way though often unexpressed, and I’m sure there are many like me…

the very creepy mask by itself screams notnilc
the whole tone is dark and creepy

Thanks Matt, this is a very interesting topic. I have had similar thoughts about this opera as well. I would love to explore this more on your channel with you. I am going to watch it again to revise, a little QofC home work!

Definitely something there, as sure as my name’s Peter Stuyvesant. The story itself might almost be considered a Humpty-Dumpty. It would not have been a bad idea to at least ~mention the original novel, written by Gaston Leroux, and published in English in 1911.

Attempts at two-way conversation here is pretty futile, unless everyone is present on the day of, which is like trying to herd cats.

can the phantom be higher self AND notnilc? i would tend to be open to this. or as Matt you said a few times, notnilc is a tool useful for the higher self / over soul. i think (you may sense Christian here ha) possibly as Solomon said, i’m probably paraphrasing, you CAN experience the experience, but as you say, do it with GRATITUDE. helps you to bring back to higher self what it originally sent you for. i think i’m just repeating years of Matt with my own substrate of thinking the old testament also teaches similarly. FWIW!
