Give Matt a Tip:

For those who can see what most cannot

Send Matt a One Time Tip or Monthly

I was surprised to find how many great images people have sent me over the past few months that I have not yet talked about. We also have a new “rubber ducky throwing” cartoon from Paul, and more posters from Bill.

Wow, pulling out The Who farewell tour of 82′, I was a sophomore in college and a bunch of us went to that show in St. Louis, we had great seats within the first 10 rows . . . I can’t believe those skeletons are still touring.

I wonder if there are any bands that did a farewell show or last show that it really was their last show? There has to be 100 bands that utilized the “goodbye tour” sales tactic, I’m going to guess 1or2 maybe 0 actually stopped.

off topic: your moniker “Justhere Forthefood”, I’m curious have you seen the movie The Promotion starring John C. Reilly? Reilly (towards the end during a revelation) turns to Seann William Scott and says:

“Hey, we’re all just here looking for food and…sometimes…we bump into each other”.

Anyway, thought I’d share that in case you haven’t seen the film, which is free btw on YouTube, cheers.

Thanks Bill! When I was thinking about a name I looked over at my recipe books and saw Alton Brown’s Im Just Here for the Food. With very little thought, I chose that. But of course, there is a relevance.

No I have not seen the film. I watch no movies or TV anymore. As Jesus said, “No man putting his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 In my heart I have already left society and I am making plans to physically leave one of these days. In the US, you can still get rural land dirt cheap. Get it while you can!

My real name is Kiara, lived my whole life in the NY area. Matt used to refer to me as his only Catholic fan. That is how I originally got his attention, when he first posted his email a few years ago (because he said he did not think any Catholics watched). I made the subject “From your Catholic fan” and he immediately got back to me. We have emailed tons of times since. As you know, he is a great guy. He has even helped me through some tough times. He is very compassionate.

Now I am that woman who “risked her life” getting those pics of Flushing Meadows Corona Park. I did not risk my life! We were sitting in traffic and I was finally able to get the pics after months of trying. After all that effort, I realized there are hundreds of better pics online, but it was nice to be able to get realistic pics from the road.

Thanks Kiara, yes I’ve heard about you during a show here and there, very nice to hear more detail. Cool pics of Flushing, I played tennis for about 20 years, so there’s that, lol. I’ve been both Catholic and Protestant, so there’s that also, take care…
Oh I just remembered, I believe you were the one Matt was calling out to when he narrated my U2 poster with the Pope, yeah. . .Kiara, cool name also.

You’re too kind, btw your comment triggered this little ditty. . .

(singers) “Real Men of Genius”

(narrator) Today we salute YOU Mr. Nonstop Notnilc Nonsense limited edition print designer…

For while many men (tough guys) brave balancing on steel beams a 1,000 ft above the cement sidewalks of our nation’s cities, building sky scrappers so other (Notnilc) men can bask in the glory of their corner offices, safe in their self-delusions that “they” are the masters of the Universe . . .

YOU brave the wild aisles of local art stores, shopping at odd hours, carefully caressing the canvas and even (at times) fighting off other customers who would dare challenge you for the last perfect camel hair brush . . .

For all you do, this laugh’s for you . . .

Wikipedia tells me there is a tradition in the UK to burn Guy Fawkes in effigy on “Guy Fawkes Night” along with fireworks. What was his crime in 1605? Being involved in a plot to kill the king and restore a Catholic monarchy. I just learned something! Thanks for the pic and the ditty:) I’ve been known to shop at odd hours too.

Magenta was the name of a character on the kids show Blues Clues. In the theme song it said “We can do anything that we want to do.” A dangerous thought to be putting in children’s minds. Teletubbies was also mind control with that creepy pipe coming out the ground and giving instructions…Tom Brady-just so happens he’s in the middle of the crypto implosion story, same week as the elections! It’s also related to funneling money to Ukraine, supposedly…Billie Jean King-wow 3 names! The US Open tennis center at Flush the Corona Virus Down the Toilet Park is named after her. Seems like an extravagant honor. Was she really that great?…That face at the beginning: It’s Wojak! I only know this because I am the mother of a Gen Z-er. What comes after Z??? He says Wojak is a very subtle entity and difficult to explain.

The Spanish Flu was “a real thing” because you were told your grandfather died from it? Sandy Hook was real according to my brother in law because his uncle lives in Connecticut and told him it really happened. Come on son!
Before Covid Dr. Fraudci admitted in his paper submitted to the medical journals that during the time of the Spanish Flu most people died from bacterial infections. I use the word “most” loosely. In other words NO ONE died from a virus…ever. Not in 1918 and not in 2020.

Great video thanks. Have been nostalgic as of late. Watched the pokemon movie 2000. Haven’t seen it in 22yrs, saw it in the theater w/ grandpa b4 he passed when I was a kid. There is a world ending event going on in the film, and the hero gathers a few Items on his quest that puts into motion the resolution. There is a strange emerald green/magenta presentation that ensues. Anyone who watched this as a kid like me and wants to check it out look up the clip Lugia’s song on yt. Hope you are all doing well Cheers.

Very cool, great work.

See, that’s what I’ve been saying, A.I. can’t kern type stylishly (yet), though if enough people “suckers” keep giving it what it wants (more attention, more info / data) then I’m sure it will advance . . . (I’m surprised) so many in our crowd here don’t understand that about A.I. created images.

Anyway, sorry for the side-track, your design rocks, way to go.

I love the t-shirt too but the towers on it, as a New Yorker, make me too emotional. Around NY, there are people who feel very strongly against 911 truth and it would be inviting a whole bit of conflict. Love the Broadway show reference, but anyone under 50 won’t know what the hell that is. LOL

I stand corrected, that wonderful bastion of truth, Wikipedia (they’re asking for donations again haha) say the last Bway showing was 1996 and several others throughout the world. I suppose this is an example of New Yorkers being very NY-centric. I guess I’m not immune, it’s very true.

Your design is very well executed, but I am on the fence about Matt’s phrase. I would put on a shirt Matt’s silhouette with headphones on and Zara sitting behind his back on the chair. No need for a captivating and rebellious statement.

Thanks but I don’t think there’s anything rebellious about it. It conveys a message of simple truths just as it was designed to do. What’s the point of a message that isn’t captivating or informative?

Let me see if I can re-run this play by play…hmm…so…Spaghetti likes your well executed design as long you drop Matt’s phrase? but…(wait) then he says he would rather have a silhouette of Matt and Zara (so yeah, dump your design now, along with Matt’s headline)…wow, I think what we have here is a designer who’s afraid to create his own work . . .???

Spaghetti, just haven’ fun here, I’m glad you were honest and it’s good people express themselves.

It conveys a message of simple truths? Not at all. Simple truths aren’t screen presentations.
The shirt makes it seem like we are devolving to the level of conspiracy theorist/the first grade truther. I don’t care about Moon landing etc. We have different views on some of the events depicted on the shirt. I guess in community there are far more first grade truthers than I thought.

Three of the biggest events (lies, scams, rouse) of our lifetime are depicted in that design. Matt touches on each of these in almost every other video he makes. Maybe the design should read “What if C-A-T really spelled DOG?” 😀
