A short overview of the 5 Expositions of Paris 1855, 1867, 1878, 1889 and 1900. With looking into Paris for my S. France series caused me to take a closer look again at the Expositions.
These never made my book, but these 5 do deserve to have a book written just one them. I get the sense they are that important. Unfortunately all of the key materials (guide books, travel books, and historical records) are all in French. And it is only through them that a detailed understanding of what took place here can be unearthed.
Recall that all of these, in rapid succession, take place at the exact time Sauniere is re doing the entire church and village of Rennes Le Chateau, the Belle Epoch is in full swing, and the creation of history (and perhaps hiding of France’s key role in the New Testament) is happening. That they are all occurring at the same time I do not think is a co-incidence.
