Description
Simple Qi Gong
A practical video showing what is known as the first Qi Gong exercise, standing as a tree. Standing still for 5 minutes seems like a simple thing, until you try to do it and see how stressed and overloaded your physical form is. While Qi Gong is taught for stress and energy- really it is the first building block of Taoist alchemic practices- the storing of energy to be used after on the journey of inner understanding. If these practical videos are enjoyed then I can produce more of them for you.

This is something I came across recently and have practiced in my local forest, channeling earth energy works well bare footed (if its not too wet where you are) As you’d described, stillness isn’t as easy as it appears on a surface level and such practices highlight either a balance or imbalance in your body’s energy.

I used to live next to a cemetery with a small waterfall right by it I would take my shoes off and do my Qi-gong exercises while listening to Binaural beats from the Monroe Institute. It was mystical.

I did practice qigong in a studio with a sensai for 3 months. It was one of the stressful times of my lfe. I chose this practice for some peace and movement. I have also practiced bikram yoga. I enjoyed bikram and the challenge (heat and moves) it required of my body. But it took time in my day that I didn’t have and the “teacher” for the time slot i needed would blast the heat to 120degrees. Too, too hot.

Many thanks to you, Rob and Matt for this wonderful platform and all the hard work you do bringing all of us (at least) in this community closer or at least comfort in knowing there are others who embrace noble values.

Very cool will definitely try the 5 minutes. I figure it will be hard and good! Trees are fascinating, twisted trunks of incredible strength. The twisting almost looks like liquid which then skews time and this realm becomes amazing again. There is no way we have any idea what trees truly are. But I digress thank you for your work.

I have been telling people forever that doing Qi-Gong while listening to binaural beats speeds up your results by years. After a year my Siddhis came on so strong it scared me and I stopped doing it for a while. Ken Cohen was my first master and I got a lot out of his work. His 1 finger Zen is great to convince yourself that you have amazing power even as a beginner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMcQYLaRIQg&t=45s

Hey so I gave ya a chance. Been trying for weeks. Certain things didn’t resonate but this did on a major level. I used to practice these forms of things in my early 20s (I’m 40 now) but in the course of life I forgot, if that’s a thing. I found myself back on this beautiful path and my way to your reoccuring knowledge. I truly appreciate your presentation and will definitely look forward to more spiritual work! Thanks!
