Hi, Howdie I have been listening regularly and admire your efforts to be truthful. I just wanted to submit that the point about the double you seem to be unclear about, it is the form body that one can issue when certain path has been covered in the way to self knowledge. Without being very specific, It happens when our feelings and desires have been freed from the bonds of nature , are in union and we regain the cognition that we are not our body and discover fully the inistence of our being as opposed to the existence. Hope it guides you to your query.

Just finished watching your video…..and found a deepening Understanding of
comforting further insightful introspection on my 73 year Journey….Thank you.

I think we are some sort of luminous light being. I was researching one night and out loud I said “so they tell us Lucifer is the light bearer and I think everything they want us to believe should be the opposite, therefore, we are the light/” The feeling that overcame my body, over my skull and down my back, told me that yes, we are the light beings. So when you said Casteneda used the moth, I thought, that makes perfect sense to me. A moth is always attracted to the light and light is a metaphor for truth and therefore knowledge which you showed us with Plato’s cave and the shadow.

I seem to have always been on a similar path laid out by Castenada and I’m grateful for further elucidating his teachings for me. I come from a celtic background, informed by aspects of Norse spirituality and other traditions. I was just refreshing myself on the 10 parts of the Norse “self” and came to this site for a completely separate reason (for the first time, too) and I’m hearing striking similarities between the two traditions.
This double Castenada talks about, I took to be more literal, but thinking of astral projection this is similar to the Vard. A guardian spirit that can take our own form, usually after death, and perform as our physiological beings in the world. Together with the Fylgja, an independent guiding spirit, it may manifest as a seperate physical copy of ourselves. Will we die if we meet it? I don’t know. There are no stories of people who met a double of themselves. Perhaps because such people died lol

I read those books in 1975. You can learn a lot from demon possessed drug users.

“Bilocation” is a well-known phenomenon among Catholic saints.

About those stories what do you make of the los angeles setting and the way theatre seems integral to the story? Down to the cross dressing and replacement actors like tuliuno!
